'Vanity, not love, has been my folly.' goes the famous line by the much acclaimed character of the heart rending novel. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a best seller as classics go by. A romantic and delectible piece set back in a time when society had a huge say in the way people led their lives. The story goes on to say in its due course that a woman changes her mind and a man his manners.

For those unlucky and misfortuned lot who never happened to browse by a copy of this classic, the plot goes like this...When Elizabeth Bennet, the one of a kind character( one like which i have never come by again in paper..), first meets eligible bachelor Fitzwilliam Darcy, she thinks him arrogant and conceited; he is indifferent to her good looks and lively mind. When she later discovers that Darcy has involved himself in the troubled relationship between his friend Bingley and her beloved sister Jane, she is determined to dislike him more than ever. In the sparkling comedy of manners that follows, Jane Austen shows the folly of judging by first impressions and superbly evokes the friendships, gossip and snobberies of provincial middle-class life. a timeless classic that makes you wanna read time and again,
